Winter Driving Tips Every Toyota Driver Must Know

With the arrival of winter comes many of our favourite things: heading up to the mountains for a weekend away with friends, tucking into a hot pie at the local footy, getting cosy on the couch with a good book in front of an open fire, the list goes on.

When it comes to driving, however, winter can be one of the nasty seasons. So, we’ve decided to put our heads together and come up with a few handy tips to keep your and your family safe this chilly season.

1. Stock up like a bear preparing for hibernation and keep your tank above 1/2 full at all times, especially important on long drives if you don’t know when the next petrol station will come along.

2. Get to know your breaks and maintain a safe distance when travelling behind other vehicles. It’s also important to refrain from using cruise control on wet, slippery surfaces as this can increase the chances of your car losing traction on the road when braking suddenly.

3. Ensure your windscreens wipers are in tip top condition, replace if needed and keep a close eye on your washer fluid.
