SMALL CHANGE MAKES A LIFE CHANGE
After hearing Chantelle Baxter from One Girl speak at our recent GSI meeting about the struggle for female education in Africa, we were moved and inspired to act!
- 66 million girls around the world aren’t in school, simply because they were born a girl
- It’s not okay with us that an 11 year old girl can be sold to a 55 year old man in the name of marriage.
- It’s not okay that a 12 year old girl is forced to sell herself in a brothel to earn money to survive.
- Education changes everything! And the video here explains the why and how:
WE ARE DOING IT IN A DRESS AT WORK!
On September 9th, all the team at Frankston Toyota will be “doing it in a dress” to raise funds – and our aim is to educate 100 girls. Yes, that means everything from washing cars, servicing cars, selling cars and doing everything that helps run our dealership – in a school dress! (Just think of the photo opportunities alone!)
If you don’t already know, here is what “Do it In a Dress” is all about!
Your Small Change, Makes a Life Change!
Every little bit counts towards educating and empowering young women in Africa. So if you would like to help us out – you can either join our team here – or create your own event! Go here to find out more about the reason why Frankston Toyota are on a mission to educate 100 girls.
